At the beginning of the millennium, the law firm’s founder Ralf Martin Spielhofen brought his wealth of experience and exceptional legal and commercial knowledge, gathered from within national law firms – including the largest German law firm of the early 1990s, Boden, Oppenhoff, Rasor, Raue – into a law firm whose foundation he laid at Königsallee Düsseldorf. This was the founding moment of RECHTSANWALTSKANZLEI SPIELHOFEN.
The premises there quickly became too small to meet the demands of a high-performance community of auditors and tax consultants. The new company domicile, in a prominent location at Düsseldorf-Seestern, was completed in 2001 and received the Immobilien (architecture) Award in 2002, as an architecturally avant-garde office building meeting the high quality standards of RECHTSANWALTSKANZLEI SPIELHOFEN. With its glass cube “CUBUS”, it stands for transparency and cosmopolitanism, uniting the essential principles of RECHTSANWALTSKANZLEI SPIELHOFEN.
After 15 years at Düsseldorf Seestern, a comprehensive redesign, upgrading and modernisation of the office premises was carried out in 2016.
2018 and 2019 will go down in history as years of growth. The legal team is expanding. For the first time consultation is being conducted in Polish in addition to German and English. RECHTSANWALTSKANZLEI SPIELHOFEN, which had heretofore focused on providing consultation in German and European law, is expanding its range of consulting services – via cooperation with a Polish partner law firm – to encompass Polish law with lawyers admitted to practice in Poland (“radca prawny” and “adwokat”). For the first time, it is also possible to advise German companies on activities in the Polish neighbouring country. The firm’s growth has led to a change in the company logo.
